911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay takes third at CCAA Preview Meet

WHITTIER, Calif. - The Pioneer men’s cross country team traveled to Whittier to compete at the CCAA Preview Meet hosted by 911±¬ÁÏÍøPoly Pomona on Oct. 23, finishing third. UC San Diego captured the team title with seven of the top 10 finishers while 911±¬ÁÏÍøState Stanislaus finished in second place.
Erik Rodriguez and Francisco Pulido finished 23rd and 24th, respectively, to lead the Pioneers. Rodriguez covered the 8k course in 27:54.3, while Pulido finished in 28:06.9.
Scott Pallesen was clocked a time 29:25.0 to place 27th, while John Erlandson (29:57.7) finished close behind 28th. Antonio Arredondo (31:08.6) and John Vergara (32:27.9) rounded out the Pioneer field in 30th and 31st, respectively.
911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay returns to the trails on Nov. 6 for the 2010 CCAA Championships back at Whittier Narrows Regional Park.
